Karanja Kibicho Reveals Why William Ruto’s Uganda Trip Was Cancellled

Interior Principal Secretary (PS) Karanja Kibicho has come out to reveal why Deputy President William Ruto’s trip to Uganda was cancelled.

The powerful PS claimed that the Interior Ministry had nothing to do with Ruto’s drama on Monday. He suggested that the DP might have presented inadequate documents to the immigration offices at Wilson Airport hence prompting his trip cancellation

The PS insinuated that the DP might have failed to produce a clearance document or any other documents needed by the authorities.

“I’ll say this before you travel, you need to have a Visa, a ticket, a COVID-19 free certificate, and if you’re a civil servant, you need to have a letter of clearance. If he actually had all those, I would be surprised that he was stopped,” Kibicho said.

DP Ruto in an interview with Inooro TV demised Kibicho’s statement saying he did not need State Clearance for a private visit.

The DP noted that he has been making such trips in the past since he became the deputy president and nobody has ever asked him to produce such documents.

But Kibicho insisted that if Ruto has been making such visits without the clearance form, then it must have been because of an error at the immigration department.

“I don’t know whether he has been having them (documents) because I have not been checking…we’re not the ones who actually clear him…but if he passes through an immigration officer, they will demand that letter…if he ever travelled without them, the immigration officer failed,” Kibicho said as reported by Citizen Digital.
