Musalia Mudavadi has come out to answer President Uhuru Kenyatta over a statement he made during a meeting with Members of Parliament from the Western region at the State House yesterday.
During the meeting, President Uhuru Kenyatta reportedly expressed his disappointment with the move by Mudavadi to join Deputy President William Ruto’s side ahead of the general elections.
“The President was categorical that Kenyans will be safe in the hands of Raila than any other presidential candidate. He told us that although he was unhappy with the move the two took, he will reach out to them,” a source indicated.
During a joint rally between the ANC leader and DP William Ruto at Eldama Ravine in Baringo county, the ANC boss said that President Uhuru had all the right to be disappointed in his move but maintained that he will not change his stand.
“I have heard my friend Uhuru Kenyatta told leaders from Western that he was disappointed in me. I want to tell you (Uhuru), you have a right to be disappointed in me but Mr President, Kenyans are even more disappointed in you,” Mudavadi added.
Musalia Mudavadi further insisted that he will not join Raila Odinga-led Azimio la Umoja movement.
