President Ruto To Grace Owalo’s Homecoming Ceremony

President William Ruto is set to wind up his two-day tour of the Nyanza region on Saturday.

The Head of state will first open a research hub at The Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology in Bondo Town.

In the afternoon, the President will grace the homecoming and thanksgiving ceremony for ICT and Creative Economy Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo.

Owalo has reiterated his homecoming ceremony, to be held in Asembo, Rarieda Constituency, is not a political affair, describing it as simply a thanksgiving event to celebrate his appointment as a member of Ruto’s Executive.

President Ruto arrived in Siaya County Saturday morning where he was received by area leaders among them Senator Oburu Oginga.

Ahead of today’s programme, the President spent the better part of Friday evening holding meetings with elected leaders from the region at Kisumu state lodge.

The head of state kicked off his two-day working tour of the Nyanza region Friday as he moved to reassure Kenyans that his government will work with all leaders irrespective of their political leanings.

He commissioned several projects in Homa Bay County including a modern market and the construction of 5000 affordable housing units.

President Ruto reiterated his commitment to working with all leaders for the good of the country.
