Boni Khalwale tells Mudavadi, Wetangula to stop wasting Luyha community with village parties

Former Kakamega Senator Dr Boni Khalwale has asked Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi and his Ford Kenya counterpart Senator Moses Wetang’ula to stop wasting the Luyha community with their ‘village parties.’

In a video posted on his Twitter on Monday, November 8, Dr Boni Khalwale urged the two of the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principals to fold their parties and form one strong political party that the Luyha community will use to negotiate for power at the national level

.The former senator, who has expressed interest in vying for the  Kakamega gubernotorial seat in the next electuins, advised former Mudavadi and the Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang’ula, that the only way to form the government was to have a unified Luhya vote.

Now affiliated United Democratic Alliance (UDA), the former legislator further advised the duo that as good Ford Kenya and ANC parties were, they were no match for stronger national parties.

“You will keep on wasting time on small village parties, yet those who will be leading the country will be those that have national parties,” Dr Khalwale said

He said both Ford Kenya and ANC can only afford to win Members of County Assembly, Woman Representatives, and Members of Parliament.

Khalwale went ahead to woe Mudavadi to William Ruto’s party stating that he stands a better chance to be William Ruto’s running mate should he fold ANC and join UDA

He said that was the only way the presidential hopeful can ascend to power.

“Ruto becomes the president, and you his deputy. After 10 years, the man is gone, Ruto out, Mudavadi in,” he stated.

For instance, Wetangula’s party has only two governors; Wyclife Wangamati of Bungoma and Patrick Khaemba of Trans Nzoia.
