Autopsy Reveals How Memusi Sankok Died

A second autopsy on the remains of nominated MP David Sankok’s son, Hillary Memusi Sankok ordered by the DCI reveals the teenager died as a result of a single gunshot to the head.

Chief government pathologist Dr Johansen Oduor who conducted the post-mortem at the Umash Funeral Home in Nakuru said the initial procedure conducted on May 3 had failed to establish the kind of firearm it was used and the range.

According to Dr Oduor, the procedure established it was a contact wound adding that the firearm which was used was a shotgun.

He said that the body of Memusi had internal and external injuries related to a gun.

“For now there is an investigation going on, I have completed what I was supposed to do and after this, I will hand over the file to the investigators who will go through the second results to come up with their findings,” he added.

The post-mortem was conducted in presence of two other doctors representing the family.

Narok DCI boss Mwenda Ethaiba said that the postmortem was the final bit that was remaining in the investigations, making the end of the fieldwork the detectives have been doing.

He said that this will allow the detectives from the DCI headquarters to file a report after analyzing the samples that have been taken and will give directions the matter will take.

The body of Memusi will be buried today at their home in Ewaso Nyiro in Narok County.
